China has a strategic pork reserve?

So, I think I'm going to apply to be official guardian of the Chinese bacon stash. The Chinese may have an awful track record when it comes to things like human rights, but they sure do understand what's important in life.... BACON.

PORK! Now with more magical glowey powers!

I always knew pork was the magical meat. To be honest, I'm not sure what I really make of the story. But I do believe in the super powers of swine flesh. Also, the image above comes from a Google images search, and it most likely a Photoshop forgery that seems to be making its way around teh interwebz.

Would I eat glowing meat? Well, if I could get a fuzzy prehensile tail out of the deal, I'd probably have several courses of the stuff.

Man Dies From Eating Corned Beef Sandwich

This story actually brings a tear to my eye. Corned beef is usually a magical food that induces happiness and love.

The other, other, OTHER white meat

People have been eating whale meat for centuries. And while it's clearly not a good, sustainable source of protein, I can't help but wonder what it tastes like. Apparently, school kids in Japan are getting a chance right now.

'Tis a monolith of meat

I think it's safe to say that this is a meat monolith. It's also probably delicious. It dissapoints me that I don't have several of these on hand at all times. One for midnight snacks, one for beating people do death with, etc. Hit the jump for a few videos featuring 17 inches of pure meaty deliciousness (kinda like me....)

Grow Your Own BACON!!!

Pork Meat 'Grown' in Labs to be Sold in Grocery Stores as Soon as 2014 : TreeHugger

This may be the single best news story I've ever brought to your attention dear readers. Imagine, vegetarians can now enjoy the sweet succulent taste of cruelty free meat. Labs can provide you with the choicest, most delicious cuts. And, really, this means that bacon is OFFICIALLY a vegetable. See, we grow vegetables, and if we are growing our own meat, that means it's now a vegetable. I should be a dietitian.
